Never eat a wild mushroom identified from a website. This one helps you rule things out. It cannot rule anything in.

Mr Mushroom

Disclosure

How this site makes money.

Mr Mushroom earns through the Amazon Associates programme and nothing else. There are no sponsored posts, no paid placements and no advertisers. Nobody has paid to appear on this site, and there is no mechanism by which they could.

The affiliate links. Some links to books and equipment carry our Associates tag, mrmushroomcom-20. If you buy through one, Amazon pays us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be otherwise, and nothing is added to your order.

Why they do not change what we recommend. That claim is worth more than an assurance, so here is the mechanism. The writing comes first: a book or a tool is named because it is the one we would tell a friend to get, and the link is attached afterwards. Links point at a search for that specific item, or at a listing confirmed to be the right one, so a reader lands on the thing that was actually recommended rather than a guessed product. Commission rates play no part in what gets written about, and no page is ordered by what pays best.

What this site is not. Identification and safety pages exist to help you tell dangerous species apart, and nothing on them is monetised or influenced by a commercial relationship. No affiliate arrangement would survive being weighed against someone eating the wrong mushroom. Read the safety pages on their own terms: they sell nothing.

Amazon’s own wording. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
