By using Mr Mushroom you accept these terms. They are deliberately short, because the substance of what this site owes you is accuracy, and no clause can supply that.

No warranty on the figures. Everything here is published in good faith and checked as carefully as we can manage, and it may still be wrong. A wrong identification can kill you. Treat this site as a reference to compare against your own measurements and your own sources, not as an authority to follow blindly. Where a number has not been verified against its primary source, the page says so.

Never eat a wild mushroom identified from this site. This is the most important term on the page. Mr Mushroom is a tool for ruling candidates OUT and for knowing which features to check. It cannot rule a mushroom IN, because identification depends on the specimen in your hand, including features that are underground until you lift it and inside it until you cut it. Have an expert examine the actual mushroom. If you have eaten something and feel unwell, contact a poison centre immediately and keep an uncooked specimen.
