Never eat a wild mushroom identified from a website. This one helps you rule things out. It cannot rule anything in.

Serious

Pantherina syndrome

Ibotenic acid and muscimol

Onset after the meal

30 minutes to 3 hours

Inside six hours, which is the reassuring side of the line, with one qualification: a mixed wild meal can produce an early reaction that hides a late one.

Attacks

The central nervous system

What it does

Confusion, agitation, distorted perception of size and distance, euphoria alternating with deep sedation, nausea and vomiting, muscle twitching, and in larger doses seizures and coma.

How it runs

Usually resolves over 12 to 24 hours, often with no memory of it. Deaths are very rare and generally follow accidents or aspiration rather than the toxin itself.

Treatment

Supportive: a quiet room, observation, and sedation if agitation is dangerous. Not something to manage at home.

The catch

Dose is unpredictable between specimens of the same species from the same patch, and the panther cap is several times stronger than the fly agaric. People treating either as a recreational substance are dosing blind.

Species that cause it

This is reference material, not clinical guidance and not a substitute for a poison centre. If somebody is unwell after eating a wild mushroom, call one now, tell them the interval between the meal and the first symptom, and keep an uncooked specimen.
